Summary:

Apprentice Plumbers are responsible for planning, diagram, install, and repair of plumbing fixtures, apparatus, and residential plumbing equipment in addition to measure, cut, assemble, and install piping, hosing, etc.

Essential Functions include but are not limited to:

  • Perform job functions for residential plumbing service and small commercial/industrial.
  • Maintain open communication with company staff and customers in a professional manner.
  • Understand and efficiently use basic computer hardware and software.
  • Maintain a clean, safe driving record.
  • Passionate about contributing as an individual and loves winning as a team.
  • Transportation to and from job sites or the shop located in Garden City, ID.
  • Provides own hand tools (handout provided upon hire).
  • Practices and comprehends safe work procedures per company policy.
  • Installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing fixtures, pipes, and other systems.
  • Install supports before the installation of pipes, equipment, and fixtures.
  • Identify and locate leaks.
  • Performing cutting, welding, and assembling of pipes, tubes, fittings, and fixtures.
  • A thorough inspection and testing of plumbing systems for safety, functionality, and code compliance.
  • Professional handling of customers plumbing requests.
  • Collaboration with contractors, construction workers, and electricians to meet plumbing requirements.
  • Review building plans and inspect them to assess material and equipment needs.

Requirements:

  • Must maintain valid apprenticeship card and have it on your person during all work hours.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be capable of following instructions, have good communication skills, and the ability to retain information.
  • Must be capable of identifying materials used in the trade.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs.
  • Regularly required to work around operating equipment, work in confined spaces, stand for long periods of time, walk, reach, stoop, crawl, twist, bend and climb ladders.
